Unveiling the Hottest Raya Fashion Trends for 2023: Get Ready to Slay This Festive Season!

 Hi Assalamualaikum,

As the festivities of Eid al-Fitr draw closer, the excitement for the latest Raya fashion trends begins to brew. Raya, also known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, is a time of joy and celebration for Muslims all around the world. It is a time where families come together to share blessings and feast on delicious meals, and what better way to mark the occasion than to dress in the latest Raya fashion? In this blog post, we will explore the top Raya fashion trends for 2023 that are sure to make a statement and leave you feeling stylish and chic. From vibrant colors to bold prints, get ready to elevate your Raya fashion game to the next level.

These are the hottest and most popular fashion trends of Raya in 2023:

Modern Minimals

If you love minimalist designs and neutral colours, then this is the look for you! Minimalist fashion is all about simplicity and elegance. You can expect to see basic silhouettes in simple shapes with minimal accessories and no loud prints on top of your outfit. The focus will be on clean lines and classic shapes instead of embellishments or loud prints that are popular in other types of clothing styles.

Minimalism is also known as 'modern minimalism' because it's a modern take on traditional minimalist fashion trends such as monochromatic ensembles (a single colour scheme), but with more variety than just black & white outfits (e.g., navy blue).

Voluminous Sleeves

Voluminous sleeves are a bold way to add a touch of glamour to your outfit. They're great for all body types, so you don't have to worry about looking like you're drowning in fabric.

To wear voluminous sleeves:

Try pairing them with an off-the-shoulder top or dress. This will help balance out the look and keep it from being too heavy on one side of your body.

If you want to try something even more dramatic than this, wear them over another layer of clothing like leggings or jeans or even light flowy skirts--but make sure not to wear too many layers at once! You don't want the whole thing falling down around your ankles!

Kaftans are comfortable and versatile garments that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Here are some ways you can style a kaftan:

LUBNA Kebaya Handkerchief
with Skirt Set

Belt it: A belt can add definition and shape to a kaftan, creating a more structured silhouette. You can use a wide belt for a dramatic effect or a thin belt to create a more subtle cinched waist.

Layer it: If you have a sheer kaftan, you can layer it over a tank top or a slip dress for a more modest look. You can also wear a denim jacket or a blazer over a kaftan to give it a more polished look.

Accessorize it: You can dress up a kaftan with statement jewelry, like oversized earrings or a bold necklace. You can also add a scarf or a headwrap to add a pop of color and texture.

Wear it with pants: Kaftans can also be worn as a tunic over pants, creating a chic and comfortable outfit. You can pair a kaftan with skinny jeans, leggings, or palazzo pants.

Dress it up: For a special occasion, you can wear a kaftan with heels and a clutch bag. Look for kaftans with embellishments, like sequins or beads, for a more formal look.

Remember to choose the right fabric and color that matches the occasion, and don't be afraid to experiment with different styles until you find what works best for you.

Classic Kebaya

The classic kebaya is a beautiful and timeless piece of clothing that has been an integral part of Malaysian fashion for centuries. Its intricate embroidery, lace, or beadwork adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any outfit, making it a popular choice for formal occasions such as weddings and religious ceremonies.

Typically made from lightweight materials such as silk or cotton, Kebaya is comfortable to wear in Malaysia's hot and humid climate. Its fitted bodice and flowing skirt create a flattering silhouette for all body types, making it a versatile piece that can be styled in a variety of ways.

For a formal event, pair your classic kebaya with a batik skirt or a pair of tailored trousers, and accessorize with statement jewelry and a clutch. For a more casual look, pair it with denim shorts or jeans and sandals for a chic and effortless style.

The kebaya is one of the most popular items of clothing among Muslim women who want to look stylish during Raya season! The kebaya has been around for centuries and remains popular today because it's versatile enough for any occasion: whether you're going out for dinner with your friends or attending a wedding reception with family members - this long-sleeved dress will surely complete your look no matter where you end up spending your holidays!

Conclusion

With so many different styles available, it can be hard to decide which one is right for you. But don't worry! We've got you covered. If you're looking for something classic and timeless, then kaftan dresses are perfect. If you want something more modern and edgy, then try out the new trend of voluminous sleeves on your next outfit choice (we know they look great). We hope this article has given some insight into what we predict will be popular this festive season - happy styling!

5-Minute Drugstore Makeup Routine: Simple Steps for a Flawless Look

Hi Assalamualaikum

It's been a while! Life has been busy, but I'm excited to be back and sharing my thoughts with you once again. 4 years has passed and now student Aina has evolved to Working Adult Aina! And yes adulting Aina still love to writes so let's catch up!

Harini I nak share with you guys my everyday simple makeup routine which took me only 5 minit jer. Sesuai sangat untuk gegirls yang malas nak makeup heavy2 tapi nak look flawless pergi kerja.

Primer

A good base always starts with a good primer. For me I used the Rimmel Lasting Matte primer for a good matte base. Texture dia lightweight and senang nak apply. At first texture dia agak pekat tapi bila letak dekat muka tak rasa heavy pun. It gets sticky quite fast so bila I apply foundation terus melekat tak pergi mana mana dah foundation tu. Harga dia pun tak mahal. Everytime sale always sold out sebab primer ni memang best!

Price : RM18-ish

       Concealer

Since I'm working in an air-conditioned room. I tak berapa suka sangat guna foundation. So I usually akan guna concealer to cover up the scars and undereye. This might be a cliché suggestion but I really love the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. Dia bagi that natural finishes even though dia sangat full coverage. Letak sikit je hilang segala - gala parut dekat muka ni. And for sensitive skin like me, dia sangat bagus sbb dia tak irritatekan my skin. Lurvee terukss.

Price: RM35.90

       Set

Setting is essential even if you are not wearing any foundation. You don’t want that concealer to crease and looks like you just stamp on cream under your eye. I use a compact powder with a hint of pigment to set my whole face. My all time favourite is Rimmel Long Lasting Pressed Powder. It also works as a powder foundation. Rasa macam pakai bedak talkum kat muka. And the best thing is concealer kau tak crease pon the whole day.

Price: RM16

          Eyebrow

For eyebrow, the quickest way to do your eyebrow is by using a pencil. I opted out for a double ended pencil where there is a rotating pencil on the other side and a brush on the other side. I would highly recommend the Maybelline Define & Blend Brow Pencil to anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use brow product. Its versatility, long-lasting formula, and natural-looking results make it a must-have in my makeup routine.

Price: RM45

Eyeshadow

When you think of eyeshadow it’s always the 4-5 colour, tons of brushes and a long hour a blending. Nak pikir pun penat kan? Tapi sebenarnya pakai eyeshadow ni simple je. Kalau dah malas sangat blend je guna jari. Yang penting kau blend. Jangan dok pi letak gitu je tak blend. Seram orang tengok kasar2 macam tu.

Shade paling biasa I guna for work is usually a neutral brown shade. Now I don't have a specific favourites from drugstores sbb aku suka try2 different kind of palletes. But I would recommend SilkyGirl Full Bloom Shadow Quad untuk beginners. Warna dia usually ada 2 matte and 2 shimmer so korang takyah pening pening kepala nak pilih2 warna pagi pagi nanti.

Ambil je satu shade pakai jari sapu and then ratakan dia make sure takde line2 kasar. Lepas tu kalau nak nampak mata lagi terang terjaga ambiklah shade yang kilat kilat tu and letak dekat tengah. And there you have it. Simple kan?

Price: RM18.80

Mascara

For mascara, I have yet to found my holy grail. Tak tahulah aku yang tak reti pakai mascara ke. Semua sama je pada pandangan aku. Right now I’m using the ESSENCE I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara. It dries very slow so you might want to refrain from sneezing couple minutes after applying it. But the good side is it doesn’t clump and it kind of make my eyelash looks a bit more longer than usual. Nampak tebal sikit la bulu mata aku yang non-existent ni. If I found my one true holy-grail mascara, I might make a dedicated post about this. Wish me luck!

Price: RM19.90

Blush

A blush is a must even in a lazy day. It adds on a hint of colour to your face so you don’t look like you’re dead. (Although I’m probably dead inside.) Haa yang ni aku nak derhaka sikit dari drugstore sebab sekarang ni my new favourite is from Sephora which is Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. Yes, the one yang orang asyik hype2 kan tu. It's really good! My face looks like a natural flush and tak rasa pun macam aku pakai blusher. Harga dia agak tercekik sikit tapi berbaloi bagi aku sbb you only need like two tiny dots and it last you the whole day! I used the shade Grace because I like the soft pink touch it gives.

Price: RM113

Lipstick

And finally, our last step is for the lips. My favourite is of course the Maybelline Powder Matte in the shade Touch of Nude. I am a bullet lipstick girlie. It has a creamy texture but it finish matte and also feels like powder. In a good way though.  I love it so much tapi dia selalu sold out! Everytime sale kena beli extra takut melepas. But anyone else rasa macam Maybelline dah mahal? Dulu lipstick ni RM20 lebih je now dah RM31.

Price: RM31.90

In conclusion, nak cantik ni mudah je. Tak perlu nak complicated steps yang ambik masa sampai berejam. You alls boleh ikut routine ni or kalau rasa one of the steps dalam ni korang nak exclude pun terpulang anda. Whether you're a busy mom, a student on-the-go, or simply someone who values efficiency, this quick makeup routine will become your go-to for effortless beauty. Remember, the key is to keep it simple, use high-quality products, and practice regularly to perfect your technique. So, give it a try and enjoy looking and feeling your best in no time!

Thank you for reading, see you in the next post ~

Kayman Beauty – Coalface Soap Review

Hi Assalamualaikum,

Harini kita rojak sikit, penat lah asyik nak speaking je. Grammar pun dah berterabur dah gamaknya.

Just the facts only.
Disclaimer: Kayman tak sponsor I, I beli ni masa kulit tengah breakout and bila baca ramai sangat orang tweet pasal soap ni, I pun intrigued nak try so I cari agent Kayman yang boleh cod. Cepat sikit dari pos.

Actually I macam traumatized sikit dengan local produk ni. Al maklum la, dulu muka rosak sebab local produk. Dahlah Coalface soap ni dalam bentuk sabun buku lagi I risau.

Kayman beauty ada tiga produk
1.       Coalface Cleanser (Dalam botol ada pump) – Ni more gentle and for dry skin
2.       Coalface Soap (Sabun Buku) – This one is more to deep cleansing and sesuai untuk oily skin
3.       Coalface Essence – Ni produk terbaru dia and it claims to give hydration and moisturize.

So produk yang I try satu je. Coalface Soap tu. Walaupun I more kepada dry skin, my face tends to get oily due to lack of moisture and I also have acne-prone skin. Since soap ni pun sesuai untuk orang yang acne-prone.
Packaging dia simple je sabun ni. Takde over the top punya design, claim boleh merawat penyakit la ape semua yang merepek tu takde.

First time I pakai ni, I have to admit rasa smooth sangat lepas basuh. TAPI my face gets super dry after that. Tapi I tak salahkan sabun ni sebab memang originally kulit I kering pun. Lebih kurang dua tiga hari macam tu I pakai sabun ni without any moisturizer, my face dah stop naik jerawat tapi area around my nose starts to get really flaky and menggelupas. Natural assumption I is, not only dia keringkan jerawat tu, dengan kulit-kulit I jadi kering.

So what I did is I only pakai soap tu waktu malam sahaja untuk deep cleansing and in the morning I pakai Hada Labo mild cleanser for sensitive skin. Alhamdulillah it gets better after three days, dah tak menggelupas sangat but still kering sebab I tak pakai moisturizer.

The good thing is dia tak buat kulit I jadi tight bila cuci. It feels like whatever moisture that is left in my skin is still there and sebab tu I rasa once I jumpa moisturizer yang sesuai, this soap can work even better for me. I guess we’ll just wait and see.

Update: I used CeraVe cream moisturizer and the combination of these two are my holy grails. Sekarang I dah tak pakai Hada Labo Mild Cleanser waktu siang dah. What I did is I used Kayman soap ni day and night, cuma waktu malam baru I tambah Hada Labo Mild Cleanser ni for double cleansing. My skin feels super hydrated. In love teruk dengan Kayman Soap and CeraVe mousturiser ni. For CeraVe ni nanti I buat entry lain pulak sebab banyak jugak nak cerita ni. Huhuhu…

Final review
My Skin type: Dry skin
My Skin Concern: Acne – prone
Price : RM35.00
Pros : Reduced my acne, kulit rasa lembut lepas cuci, deep cleansing, habis semua makeup tanggal, no fragrance so takde bau.
Cons: Dalam bentuk sabun so a bit unhygienic ( I potong kecik- kecik, nak jimat), Sangat drying so hydration sangat penting. Wajib pakai moisturizer.
Would I buy this again: Absolutely

My 2018 Ups and Downs Journey (SkinCare Edition)

2018 has been a stressful year for me. I went through a stressful one and a half semester ( I was already halfway through semester 4 in New Year). And I also started my internship on end of November. Yeay me!!!

One of the things that changes on me is my skin. My skin has been through so much since 2016. That time was the worse breakout I have ever experience. And it was right before I went into college.
So today I'm not going to talk about my 2016 and 2017 horror because of two reason.

1. I don't take that much pictures - unless with tons of makeup and filters

2. My hard drive broke and I lost everything that I kept in there including tons of pictures and hundreds of movies.

The only 2016 photos that I have without filters ft my best friend Timmy the GREAT OLIVIA (I made that name up right off the bat)

Just a brief story before 2018. I have tried a lot of product. Locals, drugstores, high-end (a bit). I even took supplements but to no avail nothing works.

By the middle of 2017, I keep tabs on beauty guru's post, studies them a bit and stopped every product that I use. At that time I was using a drugstore product that time and it still breaks me out. I tried using just one product at a time to see whether it suits my skin or not.

I bought Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser to try it out. Partly because it was on sale and I saw a lot of recommendation about it.

It turns into my HOLY GRAIL after a few month. I'm the impatience type, so if I see nothing changes within a short span, I would try to change my product but with Cetaphil, I tried to be as patient as I can. And I can't believe it was actually worth it.

I didn't use any other skincare except this cleanser and Garnier makeup remover that I randomly bought at Watsons.

My morning routine consist of only:

1. Washing my face with Cetaphil
2. Dry my face with a tissue and then straight to makeups

For my night routine:

1. I wipe my makeup with Garnier's Makeup Remover
2. Wash my face with Cetaphil
3. I put a thin layer of Cetaphil and wear it as a sleeping mask.

The last step in my night routine makes wonders to my skin. My acne started to clear up and left my face with nothing but scars. The downside is my skin got really dry. So I opted out to moisturiser. Unfortunately, every moisturisers I tried it ended up making my skin grows acne again.

Then FINALLY on January 2018. I have the RIGHT basic skincare routine which is cleanser-moisturiser-sunscreen

22 January 2018

I started to get confidence in going out without makeup and also trying out new skincare. I added essence and face mist to my routine.

I avoided seafood as best as I could and took  herb medicines since apparently I found out that I have Resdung and that was one of the causes for my acne. During that time of the year, I also sweats a lot by going to the gym and eating healthy diets.

Maybe that is one of the reason why my skin started to clear up, since sweating also eliminates toxin from our body.

May 2018

On July, I started to get busy with final projects and ignored all my diets, medicines. And I also ate a lot of seafoods. I was too busy to go to the gym (too lazy as well). It started to show on my skin. Then in November, I tried Hada Labo trial pack and it makes my skin worse. Luckily it was just a trial pack. I was quite disappointed since it got a lot of great reviews but it just doesn't suit my skin.

November 2018

So I stopped using it and went back to my old routine. And this is my current skin.

31st December 2018

The scars are still there but it's getting better.  I just have to be patience like I used to.

With love,
Aina

4 Tips on Prepping Your Breakout Skin for Makeup

Breakouts can be so stressful, especially when it's nearing your big day. During breakouts, it is best to avoid wearing any makeup that could potentially cause your breakouts to worsen by clogging your pores.
However!!
In case you are in dire needs to wear makeup or you just can't go out without makeup, there are a few helpful tips that can help you get through your breakouts and slay the day. These are the four tips to making sure your face is ready to get GLAM! even when in breakouts...

1. Clean thoroughly

Having a clean face is the top most important things if you have breakouts. You need to make sure your skin can't get anymore bacteria or else it'll only get worse. Double cleanse if you need to but make sure you don't wash it too hard or else you'll irritate the skin.

Know your skin type and skin concern. Not only will it help you with your skincare, using makeup also needs to depend on both of it.

2. Use ice to reduce irritation

There's a myth that says ICE can REDUCE pores. FALSE. You can't make your pores smaller.

But that doesn't mean you can't use ice on your face. Make sure it's clean though.

Spend a couple of minutes rubbing some ice gently on your face to reduce the redness and the irritation from your breakouts. I prefer to cover it with facial cloth. Its softer that way and it doesn't grace the area where I have large acnes.

3. Wear soothing mask

You might want to spend some extra time with this steps. I suggest you wear aloe vera soothing mask, to relax your facial muscle. This could take around 10-15 minutes. The soothing mask also contains essence that is beneficial.

You will also feel your skin a lot more smooth, prep and ready to dab in some makeup. Using a mask before applying makeup really helps a lot. Especially when  it comes to blending.

4. Moisturize

Having an oily skin will make your face looks shiny and your makeup could possibly slips and cause a hot mess around your face. But then again, having a dry face could make your makeup look cakey and blotchy. That could be even worse.

The key to avoid this is of course HYDRATION. Like MaisarahMahmud always said, "Hydration is the key"

Even if your oily or dry, you need to moisturize your skin. When your skin is dry, your skin compensate the lack of moisture with producing more oil and that is why your face is oily. That is why you need moisturizer to keep your face moist and free from excess oil that could clogged your pores.

Always let your moisturizer soaks in your skin before putting on makeup to make sure all the nutrient have been absorbs completely.

NOW YOUR FACE IS READY TO PRIME AND GLAM
